Lauryn Charliah Allums

Hi! I am a writer-director, producer, actor, and overall artist. I've been creating for YouTube for years, reaching more than 1,500 subscribers. I studied Film and Television at NYU Tisch, where I became the first recipient of the Maura Mandt Storytelling Scholarship.

While in school, I worked for Marvel Studios, MGM, Omaha Productions, The ESPYS, New York Film Academy, and Stay Gold Features. Currently, I work as a Sales Assistant for AMC Global Media. In 2023, I was a showrunner for an NYU web series titled "Quarter-Life Crisis." At the beginning of 2025, I directed my thesis film "Touching", which debuted at the 2026 American Black Film Festival.

I have managed to continue my creative journey by producing for a visual album and a non-student short film, completing research assignments for a few industry professionals, and, now, directing an animated short I wrote.

Looking ahead, I am committed to supporting and developing projects that highlight underrepresented voices and stories.
