Lauryn Charliah Allums

Lauryn Charliah Allums is a writer-director, producer, and actor focused on scripted television and film. As an NYU Film and TV graduate and Maura Mandt Storytelling Scholarship recipient, she has started working for AMC Global Media while working on outside creative projects. She also continues to post content on her YouTube Channel, which has over 1,500 subscribers. 

During her undergraduate career, she worked for Marvel Studios, MGM, Omaha Productions, Stay Gold Features, New York Film Academy (NYFA), and NYU. In 2023, she was a showrunner for an NYU web series titled "Quarter-Life Crisis." At the beginning of 2025, she directed her thesis film "Touching", which she's actively submitting to festivals. 

 

Looking ahead, Lauryn is committed to supporting and developing projects highlighting underrepresented voices and stories.
